James Ezick

Technical Lead, Analytics and Cybersecurity

James Ezick is Vice President, Engineering for Reservoir Labs and also serves as the Technical Lead for Reservoir’s Analytics and Cybersecurity teams. In his current role as VP, Engineering, James is responsible for driving and enhancing engineering process, cross-project collaboration, and customer focus at Reservoir.


Since joining Reservoir in 2004, James has developed solutions addressing a broad range of research and commercial challenges in high-performance computing, machine learning, data analytics, cybersecurity, compilers, and verification. James has more than 16 years of experience managing and executing advanced R&D projects, leading to government and commercial transitions, patents, and research publications. As a technical lead, James has built teams that inherit his passion for connecting people to leading-edge ideas in advanced computing.


James received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Cornell University in 2004. His doctoral research at Cornell focused on techniques for integrating traditional compiler-driven program analysis with whole-program model checking, addressing problems in bug finding, program comprehension, and safety policy enforcement. James also holds a B.S. in both Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from SUNY Buffalo.


James was raised in Clifton Park, NY and now resides in Canonsburg, PA.
