Sun Hotspot Software Services

Reservoir provides 3rd party services maintaining and improving the Sun Hotspot software. Our team has over 15 person-years of experience improving the performance and reliability of the JDK on advanced microprocessors and parallel computing systems. Our experience includes the opto compiler, garbage collection, synchronization, and the Java class libraries. We can significantly improve performance, scalability, and reliability on both general and specific workloads. We understand production and research modules, can port to new architectures and operating systems, and can add features and new interfaces.

We work on both commercial and open source versions. At the option of our client, we can present improvements back to Sun for incorporation into the main release tree. In addition to development services, we provide bug fixes, debugging, training, application performance tuning, and support for users of the JDK.

Reservoir also offers UltraViolet, a version of the Sun OpenJDK implementation of Java Platform, Standard Edition (J2SE), ported to MIPS.
